These terms are between you and HyperSage AI Labs LLC ("we") and cover the Loam app and this website. By using Loam you agree to them. If you get Loam through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard license terms also apply.
You own everything you write, record, or sketch in Loam. We claim no rights over your content. To make the companion features work, you give us permission to transmit the content you choose to send (as described in the privacy policy) to our server and our AI provider for processing — and for nothing else. Your content is never used to train AI models.
Loam is a notes app with an AI companion. The companion proposes and applies mechanical changes to your notes under settings you control, answers questions from your notes, and can draft notes at your request. It is software, not a person, and its output can be wrong — review what it proposes, which is exactly what the review desk is for.
Don't use Loam to break the law, to probe or overload our servers, or to attempt to extract other people's data from our systems (there isn't any to find — see the privacy policy — but don't try). Companion features carry a daily allowance and rate limits to keep the service healthy for everyone.
Loam's notes, capture, history, and undo are free. If paid companion tiers are offered when Loam launches, their price and terms will be shown in the App Store and in the app before you pay, and subscriptions will be managed and cancelled through your App Store account.
Loam is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We work hard to make it reliable — the Ledger and undo exist precisely so mistakes are recoverable — but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep exports of anything you can't afford to lose; the Markdown export exists for exactly that.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HyperSage AI Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Loam, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms as Loam evolves; the date above changes when we do, and material changes will be called out in the app. You can stop using Loam at any time — your notes are on your device, and the export is always available.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
