Undo anything, anytime
Every companion action lands in the Ledger with its own undo. Undoing an old tidy never clobbers a newer filing — undo is surgical, and history is never paywalled.

Proactive and consented.
Most AI notes apps make you choose: an assistant that rewrites things behind your back, or one that never lifts a finger. Loam is built on the third option.

Typos, shorthand, and stray spaces fixed in place. Rambly jots shaped into clean lines. Written paragraphs left exactly as you built them — the tidy is mechanical, never a rewrite, and “View original” is always one tap away.
The Ledger
Everything the companion does is written down here — what changed, when, and why — with a per-line undo and an undo-all for the day. Your history is never trimmed, and never paywalled.
Six powers, three positions
File notes into collections. Leave margin marks that never touch your text. Link related notes. Flag commitments. Set reminders that actually ping. Each power has its own dial: Off, Ask first, or Auto.
Ask your own pile
“What did I promise Tom?” The companion answers from your notes and shows its receipts — citation chips that open the exact note it read. It can draft a new note on request; keeping the draft is your call.
Capture is never metered
Typing, dictation, sketching, and saving a chat draft are always free and always instant. The daily allowance covers only the companion's actions — never your own words.
You hold the door
The companion wakes only after you say yes — and you can withdraw that consent anytime in Powers. Decline it entirely and Loam stays a fast, private notes app. Export everything as Markdown whenever you like.

Not a ghostwriter
Loam never rephrases you. The Tidy contract is mechanics only — spelling, shorthand, shape — and your written paragraphs stay yours, line for line.
Not a silent organizer
A new collection is created only with your OK, even when a power is dialed to Auto. Nothing is filed, linked, or flagged without a record you can read and reverse.
Not a data business
No accounts, no ads, no analytics. Your notes live on your device and travel only when the companion is working for you — read the privacy policy for exactly what moves and when.

When can I get it?
Loam is coming to the App Store for iPhone. Email us and we'll tell you the moment it's live.
Which AI does Loam use?
Claude, by Anthropic — named here and in the app, and consented before the first send. Notes are sent only while the companion works for you: a tending sends that note; a chat question sends your note titles and the few notes most relevant to it. Anthropic retains API data up to 30 days and doesn't use it to train models.
What happens when I delete a note?
Deleted means deleted. There is no trash can and no thirty-day purgatory: the note is gone, its Ledger entries are redacted, and its traces are scrubbed from chat history. Loam makes you confirm precisely because there's no net.
Is my writing used to train AI?
No — no exceptions. Your notes are never used to train models, by us or by Anthropic.
What's free?
Notes, capture, search, history, and undo — forever, without limits. The companion's actions draw on a daily allowance on the free tier; your archive is never held hostage.
Can I get my notes out?
Anytime: export your whole pile as Markdown from Powers, or share any single note as text from its own menu.
