Pokémon card scanner + AI companion · In development

Ask Hound anything.
It knows your binder — and the market.

Ask what you're missing from a set, what's worth flipping, or what a card is really worth — Hound answers with your own collection and live market data as context, and names its source every time. Scanning stays free and unlimited either way; Hound is part of Holohound Pro.

What it does

Built against what the category gets wrong.

Every one of these is a direct answer to a specific complaint we found reading the category's own 1- and 2-star reviews.

Hound: an AI companion that knows your binder.

Ask what you're missing, what's worth flipping, or what a card is really worth. Hound answers with your own collection AND live market data as context, and names its sources — something no Pokémon-tracking app currently ships. Live since 18 August 2026: replies come from a real model through our own server, not from a script.

Scanning is free. Unlimited. Forever.

No daily cap, no lifetime cap, no account to create. Card recognition runs entirely on your phone against a bundled index — nothing you point the camera at leaves the device.

Prices come with receipts.

Market price, the cheapest current listing, and the middle of the book — from TCGplayer via TCGdex, dated and sourced. Sold-price history isn't connected yet, and the app says exactly that instead of showing you a number and letting you assume.

Master-set completion, done right.

Every printing counted — secrets and reverses included — what's missing, and what finishing it would actually cost, with a straight line to Hound to watch the prices for you.

No streaks. No guilt. No noise.

No manufactured urgency and no loss framing. Notifications are opt-in, capped under four a month, and limited to things you'd actually want to hear from a friend by text.

Screens

Thirteen screens, built and running.

The prototype below is what's actually on the phone today — not mockups.

Home — binder value over time, with today's movers underneath

Binder value at a glance, with today's movers.

Scan — a full-screen viewfinder that identifies a card on-device

Point the camera. Recognition runs on your phone.

Report — market price, cheapest listing, the middle of the book, and Cardmarket's observed European prices

Every price sourced. Every market named.

Set — a master-set completion ring with the exact cards still needed

What's missing, and what it costs to finish.

Holohound Pro

Hound is the paid part of Holohound. Scanning never was.

Scanning, your binder, your wishlist and CSV export are free with no limit. Hound gives you 10 free messages a day; Pro is planned to raise that to 400 a day. Nothing here is on sale yet — Holohound is not on the App Store, so the plans below are what we intend to offer at launch, not something you can buy today.

Free

$0
forever
  • Unlimited card scanning
  • Full binder, wishlist and want-list tracking
  • Master-set completion tracking
  • 10 Hound messages a day
  • CSV export, no subscription required

Pro — Monthly

$9.99
per month, cancel anytime
  • Everything in Free
  • 400 Hound messages a day, up from 10
  • Price alerts on cards you own
  • Graded-tier prices, once connected

Holohound Pro cannot be bought yet: the app is not on the App Store and there is no purchase anywhere in it. Final prices are set on the App Store at launch and billed by Apple, and Restore Purchases will work without a Holohound account, because there isn't one.

Common questions

FAQ

Is scanning really free, forever?

Yes. No daily cap, no lifetime cap, no account. Scan caps are the single most common complaint in this category, so it's the one thing we committed to never do.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-in anywhere in the app. Your collection lives on your device, and CSV export is free if you want a copy of your own.

What is Hound, and can I use it now?

Hound is the AI companion built into your binder — ask what you're missing from a set, or what a card is really worth, and it answers using your own collection as context, sources named. Hound has been live since 18 August 2026: replies come from a real model through our own server, not from pre-written examples. Holohound itself is still in development and not on the App Store, so there is no build you can install yet.

What does Hound see when I ask it something?

Your message, any photo you attach, the last few messages of that conversation, and the specific card rows relevant to the question — not your whole binder. No account is created; the app sends a random per-install id so the daily message allowance can be counted. The privacy policy lists it in full.

Is this an official Pokémon app?

No. Holohound is independent and unofficial, and is not produced, endorsed or licensed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc. or GAME FREAK — see the disclosure above.

When does it launch?

Holohound is in active development — thirteen screens are built and running on a real phone today, on real card data. There's no launch date yet. Email us to hear the moment it ships.

Want to know when it ships?

No spam, no list you can't leave — just one email, the day it's live.
