Replies are generated live and take a few seconds. If it hangs for more than a minute, check your connection, then close and reopen the app â your conversation is saved. The skills, diary card, and crisis kit all work offline.
Open the Plus screen and tap Restore Purchases. If your Apple ID has an active subscription, it re-links in seconds.
Companion chat includes 5 messages a day on the free tier, resetting each day; Quietoak Plus raises that to 100. A message with a photo attached counts as three, because the image goes through a separate safety check first. Crisis chat and the Crisis Survival Kit are never limited, at any tier â and the skills library and diary card are always free.
Diary dictation needs microphone permission: iOS Settings â Quietoak â Microphone. The audio is sent to our backend and on to OpenAI only to produce the text, then discarded â it isn't stored.
Email support@hypersage.ai with what you saw and what you were doing. Screenshots help â please avoid including anything private from your diary or chat.
All purchases are handled by Apple. Request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com. Manage or cancel Plus in iOS Settings â Apple ID â Subscriptions.
For clinicians, reviewers & press
If you're a DBT-informed clinician, a reviewer, or a journalist evaluating Quietoak, reach out at support@hypersage.ai. Quietoak is a self-help adjunct based on the DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) model â not therapy â with prominent disclaimers, an always-free crisis kit, and an independent crisis-safety layer.
Read the published self-harm safety protocol for details on the AI-companion safeguards and crisis-referral process.
Where your data goes
The full data flow is in our privacy policy â short version: your diary and practice are stored on your device, and we keep no diary on our servers. There's no account and no login. We don't run ads or third-party trackers against your diary or chat. To generate replies, your messages are sent to our backend and an AI provider â together with a short recap of your last 7 logged diary days, including your urge ratings and the first 120 characters of each day's note, so the reply fits your week. Under that provider's current API terms, those messages aren't used to train their models.
